Matching a device to your equipment
The EMP Shield device for Solar Protection is designed to be installed after the combiner (or PV array) on your inverter or charge controller. To ensure compatibility and proper protection, you need to find the Maximum Input Voltage for your device and select an EMP Shield that falls within the Optimal Input Voltage Range.
For example, if you have two charge controllers with a Maximum Input Voltage of 150V, you would need the Dual/DC/220-300V/W EMP Shield. However, if you only have one charge controller with a Maximum Input Voltage of 150V, a DC/220-300V/W EMP Shield will suffice. If you have an inverter as the first device with a Maximum Input Voltage of 60V, you should select the DC/90-120V/W EMP Shield.
